How Training Jiu-Jitsu Can Help You In The Workforce

When we opened Metro Jiu-Jitsu in 2018….I had no idea what exactly would be involved for it to be successful.
“Hey you’re a BJJ Brown Belt now! You can open and teach.” 🙄
The skills required go so much deeper.
You need to understand:
Copywriting 🖊️
Marketing 🗣️
Sales 💰
Human Psychology 🧠
Childhood Development 😊
Leading & Managing A Team 🚀
Navigating administration challenges (and in Whitmer's case government overreach) 😂
There are times you need to make tough decisions.
There are times you need to be aware enough to say “This is above my pay grade”. And you go seek counsel.
And there are times where you realize just how vulnerable your business is if you don’t learn and evolve rapidly to match the needs of the current market. (Think Blockbuster 🎥)
My body has been abused far more than it has been since opening. 😣
I have exponentially more grey hair 👨🦳
But the skills In acquired (through both investment, continued education, and plain ole stupidity/mistakes 🤦🏻♂️) can be transferred into any business.
That’s pretty valuable! 💰
Would I recommend everyone become an entrepreneur? Not a chance 👎 (Especially opening up a Jiu-Jitsu gym 😂 )
But do I believe that my Jiu-Jitsu training was the fire that forged me to be resilient enough to handle this? 🔥
Without question.
Mohammad Abdrabboh & I are cooking up something pretty special for business owners who want the benefits of mentally resilient employees, team leaders, and managers.
If you own a company (or work for a company) that you believe would benefit from the entire payroll training Jiu-Jitsu as a UNIT…..hit me up.
We can talk shop about this new service we’re offering that will not only make your business more money, but it will make your team healthier, stronger, and more productive.
See you on the mats.
